Appliance Repair Technician

Boston, MA Area | Residential & Commercial Service
$30–$40/hr + Performance Bonuses + Company Support

We’re working with a growing appliance repair company in the Boston market that’s looking to add an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely knows their trade, enjoys solving problems, takes pride in doing quality work, and wants to be part of a company that values professionalism without all the corporate nonsense.

This role is ideal for a technician who can work independently, communicate well with customers, and handle both the technical and customer-facing side of service calls with confidence. They are looking for someone who wants to be part of a solid team long-term, not just someone bouncing from company to company.

The company handles both residential and commercial appliance repair, so there is a good mix of work and technical variety throughout the week.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Diagnose and repair residential and commercial appliances
  • Troubleshoot refrigerators, ice machines, ovens, ranges, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and more
  • Handle sealed system repairs and refrigeration work
  • Read schematics and wiring diagrams to properly diagnose issues
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners and business customers regarding findings and repair options
  • Document service notes, parts used, and completed work through mobile software
  • Maintain an organized and professional service vehicle
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship while representing the company professionally in the field

What They’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of appliance repair experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
  • Experience with residential or commercial appliances required, both is a major plus
  • 5+ years of sealed system/refrigeration experience
  • EPA Section 608 Certification strongly preferred
  • Comfortable reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Strong customer communication and professionalism
  • Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable using mobile dispatch/service software in the field
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

What Makes Someone Successful Here

  • Takes ownership of their work and doesn’t cut corners
  • Can think through problems instead of just swapping parts
  • Communicates professionally with customers and teammates
  • Works well independently without needing constant oversight
  • Stays calm under pressure and handles challenges professionally
  • Wants to continue learning and improving their craft
  • Shows up consistently and takes pride in representing the company the right way

Compensation & Perks

  • $30–$40/hr depending on experience
  • Annual performance bonuses
  • Steady year-round work
  • Supportive team environment
  • Opportunity to work on a wide range of equipment and systems
  • Long-term growth opportunity with a company that values experienced technicians

If you’re an experienced appliance technician looking for a long-term opportunity with a solid team, strong leadership, and a company that respects skilled tradespeople, we’d love to connect.
