We are currently recruiting for an instructor within the Automation and Robotics Technology program. This is a full-time, annual contract, exempt, and benefit-eligible 9-month instructor and/or 12-month instructor/chair position. Relocation and temporary housing assistance is available. Salary is based on role and experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in Industrial Maintenance, Robotics, or Automation Controls
- A bachelor’s degree, or an associate’s degree with a bachelor’s in progress
- Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills
- Supervisory / leadership experience is required for the Chair position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training or teaching experience
- Five or more years of related work experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Instruct and develop courses that may include the following topics:
- Basic AC/DC
- Electrical motor control
- Mechanical drives (belts, chains, gears)
- Pneumatics
- Programmable logic controllers
- Human machine interfaces
- Troubleshooting techniques
- Department Chair is responsible for the operational and strategic functions of one or more programs. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operational and strategic oversight
- Faculty supervision
- Coordination of department initiatives such as:
- Scheduling
- Traditional and online curriculum assessment and development
- Budget preparation and management
- Student recruitment and advising
- Other administrative duties
