Job Description:

The Commercial Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing commercial electrical construction projects from inception to completion. The role requires expertise in commercial construction and electrical systems, with a focus on multimillion-dollar projects. Key responsibilities include:

– Planning and delivering commercial construction projects efficiently and effectively.
– Reviewing plans and specifications to identify design and constructability issues.
– Maintaining positive relationships with the project team, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
– Building and maintaining positive morale on the project site.
– Meeting the financial goals of the project by managing budgets, resources, and timelines.
– Developing and maintaining comprehensive construction plans and schedules.
– Scoping out vendor quotes and purchasing necessary equipment and materials.
– Scoping out subcontractors, issuing subcontracts, and ensuring quality work.
– Daily monitoring of key metrics to track project progress.
– Preparing, monitoring, and maintaining project budgets.
– Reporting regularly to senior management on project status and performance.
– Creating revenue forecasts and cash flow analysis.
– Identifying changes in project scope and adjusting plans accordingly.

Qualifications:

– 10 proven years of experience in commercial construction and commercial electrical projects.
– Strong project management skills with a track record of managing multimillion-dollar construction jobs.
– Ability to review and interpret construction plans and specifications.
– Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
– Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
– Ability to develop and maintain detailed construction plans and schedules.
– Experience in vendor and subcontractor management.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Education and Experience:

– Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
– Relevant certifications in project management or electrical systems are a plus.
