Foreman – Electrical (IN Region)

Summary
The Electrical Foreman leads commercial electrical installation crews on construction and renovation projects within the Indiana region. This role is responsible for supervising journeymen and apprentices while ensuring productivity, safety, quality control, and material coordination meet project requirements.
This is a hands-on field leadership position requiring strong electrical knowledge, the ability to read and interpret project documents, and proven experience managing crews to meet schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Organize, coordinate, and supervise electrical craft employees on construction projects

Assign work based on employee skill level, experience, and training

Train, mentor, and develop journeymen and apprentices

Coordinate new construction and major remodeling activities

Review contracts, specifications, and blueprints to ensure proper execution

Control construction progress to meet project schedules and deadlines

Lead daily inspections and commissioning activities to ensure work conforms to specifications

Coordinate with administrators and project stakeholders to support job execution

Enforce safety policies and instruct crews on proper safety procedures

Monitor material needs and support procurement activities
Qualifications
-
10+ years of commercial electrical field experience
-
3–5+ years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role preferred

Strong knowledge of electrical systems and commercial construction practices

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Knowledge of building materials, tools, equipment, and labor requirements

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Basic computer and documentation skills
Physical & Travel Requirements
-
Regular field activity including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively

Ability to climb ladders and work from scaffolding and lifts

Ability to drive a company vehicle

Capable of driving up to 14 hours per day between job sites

Travel up to 10%
