Project Manager – Commercial Low-voltage Security Systems
$100,000 to $150,000 Based on Experience
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of commercial low-voltage and security system projects. This role manages projects from pre-construction and estimating through procurement, installation coordination, project closeout, and final billing.
The ideal candidate has experience managing security or low-voltage construction projects and is comfortable coordinating field teams, vendors, and customers while ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Review project scope with sales team and confirm project requirements
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Prepare proposals, estimates, and system designs
- Procure materials and coordinate equipment deliveries
- Schedule and coordinate installation crews
- Conduct project kickoff meetings and site visits
- Monitor project schedule, costs, and overall profitability
- Maintain communication with customers and contractors throughout project lifecycle
- Submit product data, shop drawings, and project documentation
- Manage change orders and project billing
- Oversee project closeout and final acceptance
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in project management, estimating, or sales within the low-voltage/security industry
- Experience with systems such as:
- CCTV
- Access control
- Alarm systems
- Gate or barrier systems
- Structured cabling
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction or engineering degree (preferred but not required)
- Existing relationships within the Mid-South market preferred
