Project Manager – Commercial Low-voltage Security Systems

$100,000 to $150,000 Based on Experience

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of commercial low-voltage and security system projects. This role manages projects from pre-construction and estimating through procurement, installation coordination, project closeout, and final billing.

The ideal candidate has experience managing security or low-voltage construction projects and is comfortable coordinating field teams, vendors, and customers while ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Review project scope with sales team and confirm project requirements
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, and system designs
  • Procure materials and coordinate equipment deliveries
  • Schedule and coordinate installation crews
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings and site visits
  • Monitor project schedule, costs, and overall profitability
  • Maintain communication with customers and contractors throughout project lifecycle
  • Submit product data, shop drawings, and project documentation
  • Manage change orders and project billing
  • Oversee project closeout and final acceptance

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in project management, estimating, or sales within the low-voltage/security industry
  • Experience with systems such as:
    • CCTV
    • Access control
    • Alarm systems
    • Gate or barrier systems
    • Structured cabling
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction or engineering degree (preferred but not required)
  • Existing relationships within the Mid-South market preferred
