Job description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Estimator – Industrial Plumbing to lead large-scale industrial plumbing projects from preconstruction through completion. This role combines project management leadership and estimating expertise, making it ideal for a seasoned professional who can manage complex projects while supporting business growth through accurate bids and strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage industrial plumbing projects including new installations, retrofits, and system upgrades
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, perform take-offs, and develop bid proposals
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and scope clarity
  • Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and daily project operations
  • Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure safety compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing scope changes and expectations
  • Track project financials, approve invoices, manage change orders, and protect profitability
  • Mentor and lead project team members to promote accountability and performance
  • Support business development efforts by collaborating on proposals and maintaining client relationships

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Weekday-focused schedule (Monday–Friday)
  • Primarily office-based in Charlotte, NC, with regular job site visits
  • Some travel may be required depending on project location and scope

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in industrial or large commercial plumbing
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and/or estimating roles
  • Proven experience managing large, complex plumbing projects
  • Strong estimating, budgeting, and financial oversight experience
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial plumbing systems and applicable codes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with construction management and estimating software preferred
