Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and Repair Vehicles: Use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and equipment to diagnose and repair GM vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension,
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, multipoint inspections, air filter, cabin filter, and wiper blade changes to keep vehicles in safe and dependable operating condition.
- Safety Inspections and Testing: Perform safety inspections and test vehicles to ensure compliance with dealership and factory standards.
- Customer Communication: Communicate directly with customers to explain issues, provide accurate solutions, and present repair or installation options.
- Team Collaboration: Assist senior technicians and collaborate with other team members to achieve team goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training programs, including manufacturer hands-on and web-based training, to stay updated on the latest GM technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements:
GM certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-6 years of experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on GM vehicles.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; associate degree or higher in automotive technology a plus.
