    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee day-to-day field and office activities.
    • Schedule and coordinate service calls, repairs, and maintenance projects for commercial and industrial clients.
    • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and manpower requirements to ensure efficiency.
    • Support job costing, work order tracking, and invoicing processes.
    • Maintain communication with clients regarding job status, timelines, and follow-up service needs.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry codes.
    • Assist with procurement of materials, parts, and equipment.
    • Resolve on-site and operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
    • Facility and fleet management.

    Qualifications:

    • 3–5 years of management or operations experience in mechanical, contracting or industrial fields; boiler industry experience a plus.
    • Strong organizational, communication and customer service skills 
    • Familiarity with work order management software and scheduling tools (MS Office Suite).
    • Knowledge of mechanical systems, boilers, and related equipment preferred.
    • Comfortable with speaking / dealing with customers

    Commercial Gas/Oil Burner Service Mechanic – Immediate Opening
    We have partnered with a well-established, family-owned commercial boiler services company that has proudly served the industry for over 80 years. Known for exceptional customer service and technical expertise, they specialize in commercial boiler repair, maintenance, inspections, combustion analysis, welding, fabrication, and water treatment services.

    Due to continued growth, they are hiring an experienced Commercial Gas/Oil Burner Service Mechanic to join their team.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial gas/oil burners and boiler systems 
    • Perform combustion analysis and system adjustments to maximize efficiency and ensure emissions compliance 
    • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues involving burner controls and boiler systems 
    • Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections on commercial heating systems 
    • Replace and calibrate components including fuel pumps, nozzles, motors, ignition transformers, and control panels 
    • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals 
    • Complete service documentation and maintenance reports accurately 
    • Assist with startup and commissioning of newly installed burner systems 
    • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service response 
    • Ensure all work complies with OSHA and applicable local/state/federal codes 
    Qualifications
    • 3+ years of experience servicing commercial gas/oil burner systems 
    • Strong knowledge of combustion theory, burner controls, and boiler operations 
    • Experience working with steam and hydronic boiler systems 
    • Familiarity with BAS (Building Automation Systems) integration and controls 
    • Experience with emissions testing and reporting procedures 
    • Valid Gas/Oil Burner Technician license/certification (as required by local/state regulations) 
    • OSHA 30 certification preferred 
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems independently

    • Ensure all work meets ASME codes and local/state safety regulations.
    • Operate grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication tools safely.
    • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) prep work and assist inspectors during code-required inspections.
    • Maintain accurate repair logs and material usage records.
    • Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and confined space entry procedures.

     Qualifications:

    • 3–5 years of experience in boiler welding and repair, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in welding preferred.
    • Have or obtain FDNY F60 and G60 Certificates of Fitness
    • Have or obtain OSHA 30 certification
    • Have or obtain Confined Space training.
    • Have or obtain Certification in SMAW processes, 6G pipe.
    • Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and NBIC (National Board Inspection Code).
    • Ability to work in confined spaces.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
