    Terminal Manager – Burlington, NJ

    Compensation: $75,000 – $95,000 annually (based on experience)
    Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
    Location: Burlington, NJ


    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Terminal Manager to lead and oversee all operations at our Burlington, NJ terminal. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and operational problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


    What You’ll Do

    Leadership & Team Management

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of drivers and terminal staff to ensure alignment with company goals and values.

    • Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-first work environment.

    • Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training for terminal employees.

    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support.

    • Promote professionalism, integrity, and operational excellence in every interaction.

    Operational Management

    • Oversee daily driver scheduling, truck assignments, and warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

    • Partner with cross-docking teams and routing managers to streamline daily operations and maximize route efficiency.

    • Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and safety at all times.

    • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with the Fleet and Equipment Manager to minimize downtime.

    • Collaborate with other terminals to ensure consistent customer service and coverage during emergencies.

    Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations across all operations.

    • Proactively identify and address safety or operational risks.

    • Lead monthly driver safety meetings to promote awareness and continuous improvement.

    • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, maintenance, and compliance.


    What You Bring

    • 5+ years of leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or distribution management.

    • Proven ability to manage teams in a high-volume, safety-sensitive environment.

    • Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA compliance standards.

    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (routing/scheduling systems preferred).

    • CDL license preferred but not required.

    • A proactive, dependable, and people-first leadership style.
