Job Summary:
The Groundworker is responsible for assisting tree crews in rigging and clean-up, and job site safety. This role is essential to supporting climbers and equipment operators while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Job Site Support: Assist climbers and arborists by handling ropes, rigging, and equipment.
– Debris Cleanup: Use rakes, blowers, and chipper machines to clear job sites efficiently.
– Equipment Operation: Safely operate chainsaws, chippers, and other tools under supervision.
– Safety Compliance: Follow company safety protocols and assist with job site hazard management.
– Teamwork: Work closely with the crew to ensure a smooth and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
– Passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions.
– Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
– Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
– Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, or construction is a plus but not required.
– Valid driver’s license (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits:
– Base pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour (DOE) + performance-based incentives and tips.
