Commercial HVAC Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our Facilities team. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting directly to the Director of Facility Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units
- Troubleshoot system issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
- Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work performed
- Respond to emergency service calls as part of an on-call rotation
- Utilize industry-standard tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with leadership
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a commercial HVAC environment
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required
- Experience with Controls/BAS systems preferred
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC tools and equipment
- Valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to operate power tools such as drills, saws, and other equipment
- Ability to bend, climb, and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working in environments with heat, cold, moisture, noise, and light chemical exposure
Work Schedule
- Full-time position
- Participation in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance services
