  • Lead Commercial HVAC Technician

    Job Title: Lead Commercial HVAC Technician
    Location: On-site in Skokie, IL
    Compensation: $40–$55 per hour (based on experience)
    Employment Type: Full-Time


    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with extensive hands-on experience in commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The Lead Technician will take ownership of installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment, while also mentoring junior team members and ensuring high-quality work on every job.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Install, service, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, RTUs, split systems, and control systems.

    • Diagnose and repair complex system issues with accuracy and efficiency.

    • Oversee and mentor junior technicians, ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.

    • Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely and effective project completion.

    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on job.

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety regulations.

    • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and technical expertise.


    Key Skills and Qualifications

    • 10+ years of commercial HVAC experience, including extensive work with chillers, boilers, RTUs, and related systems.

    • Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and diagnostic tools.

    • Proven leadership experience or the ability to lead a team in the field.

    • EPA Universal Certification required, additional state licenses a plus.

    • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.


    Compensation and Benefits

    • Pay: $40–$55 per hour (based on experience)

  • Crane Service Technician – N Chicago, IL

    Job Title: Crane Service Technician II
    Location: North Chicago, IL
    Compensation: $30–$37 per hour (based on experience)

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a skilled Crane Service Technician II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing quality installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs of hoist and crane equipment. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, professionalism, and strong customer service skills to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency in every project.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Service, install, and maintain overhead crane systems and hoists.

    • Perform OSHA-compliant inspections, complete warranty work, and troubleshoot breakdowns.

    • Respond to emergency service calls and perform preventive maintenance.

    • Conduct electrical and/or mechanical repairs and adjustments, with or without engineered drawings.

    • Maintain strong customer relationships by identifying issues, offering solutions, and recommending improvements.

    • Document all service and installation activities, including forms, reports, and inspection checklists.

    • Adhere to professional standards of timeliness, appearance, and organization.

    • Maintain company equipment, including vehicles, tools, and service materials.

    • Stay up to date on Federal, State, and local safety codes related to cranes and hoists.

    Qualifications

    • 2–5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment (required).

    • Strong working knowledge of 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.

    • Experience operating overhead cranes and scissor lifts (required).

    • Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related field (preferred).

    • Ability to work independently and manage customer-facing interactions with professionalism.

    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Physically capable of performing job duties, including standing, walking, working at heights, exposure to temperature extremes, and lifting 50–100 lbs.

    • Ability to perform inspections per OSHA standards.

    • Must supply own hand tools and meter.

    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
