Location: Farmingdale, NY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $25-$45 based on experience

Your Impactful Role Get hands-on with street sweepers, refuse trucks, sewer cleaners, vacuum trucks, and more. You’ll:

• Repair diesel engines, chassis, and specialized heavy-duty systems
• Handle routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, filters, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently
• Perform detailed inspections and road tests to ensure top safety and performance before return

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanic experience (heavy-duty truck, diesel, or equipment preferred) OR tech/vocational school graduate
• Your own basic tools (we supply specialty ones)
• Sharp troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
• Detail-focused, deadline-driven, thrives in fast-paced shops
• Bonus: Electrical/hydraulic knowledge or welding experience

Your Key Role Be the vital bridge between our loyal customers and expert technicians in this dynamic, customer-facing position. You’ll:

• Serve as the primary liaison, building strong relationships from drop-off to pickup
• Create clear, detailed service estimates based on the General Foreman’s assessment and explain recommendations confidently
• Keep customers informed with proactive follow-ups and status updates
• Oversee the full repair process: accurate work orders, parts/labor billing, documentation from technician sheets, and seamless completion

What We Need

• Experience as a Service Writer, Advisor, or similar in heavy equipment, truck repair, or dealership settings
• Professional attitude with outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and energized by fast-paced environments
• Solid typing/writing abilities for estimates and records
• Shop equipment knowledge (required); electrical/hydraulic systems or QuickBooks a big plus
