    COMMERCIAL PLUMBING SERVICE TECHNICIAN

    Reports To: Service Manager

    Hourly/Salary: Hourly

    Travel: Local

    Position Summary
    The commercial service plumber diagnoses, repairs, and installs residential/light-commercial and
    commercial plumbing systems. Working under the Service Manager, this role troubleshoots piping,
    fixtures, and equipment; clears drains; and ensures code-compliant, safe, and high-quality work for
    our customers.

    Key Responsibilities
    Diagnose issues and perform repairs on piping systems; locate and fix leaks.
    Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes, valves, and fixtures.
    Install/repair water heaters, dishwashers, toilets, sinks, disposals, and related equipment.
    Operate jetter and cable machines to clean and clear drain lines.
    Test systems/fixtures for function, performance, and safety; document findings.
    Interpret blueprints, specs, and work orders; ensure adherence to state/local codes.
    Communicate clearly with customers, Dispatch, and Service Support; maintain accurate
    service notes.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Physical Demands
    Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.; climbing ladders; working from
    lifts/scaffolds; rooftop and indoor/outdoor environments; other manual labor as required.

  • Plumbing Foreman

    Foreman – Plumbing
    Commercial Plumbing | Construction Operations


    Summary

    The Plumbing Foreman leads commercial plumbing crews on new construction and renovation projects. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising field operations to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

    This is a hands-on field leadership position requiring strong plumbing knowledge, the ability to read and interpret construction documents, and proven experience managing crews, materials, and daily job-site activities.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Organize, coordinate, and supervise plumbing craft employees on construction projects

    • Assign work based on employee skill level, experience, and training

    • Train, mentor, and develop plumbing personnel

    • Coordinate new construction and major remodeling activities

    • Attend project meetings and review contracts, specifications, and blueprints as required

    • Collaborate with administrators and project leadership to support job execution

    • Control construction progress to meet project schedules and deadlines

    • Schedule daily tasks and manpower to ensure efficient workflow

    • Lead inspections and commissioning activities to ensure work meets specifications

    • Act as a technical advisor on job-related issues and field challenges

    • Communicate with agencies, department heads, and other stakeholders as needed

    • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project objectives


    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in building construction, plumbing, remodeling, or construction project coordination

    • Strong knowledge of plumbing and structural systems

    • Knowledge of building materials, tools, equipment, and labor requirements

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications

    • Proven supervisory and leadership ability

    • General computer, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills


    Physical & Travel Requirements

    • Regular field activity including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively

    • Ability to climb ladders and work from scaffolding and lifts

    • Ability to drive a company vehicle

    • Ability to drive long distances between job sites

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively

    Role Summary

    The Traveling HVAC Controls Startup Foreman leads field startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting efforts for commercial and industrial HVAC and controls systems on construction and renovation projects nationwide. This role serves as the technical authority in the field, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operating according to specifications, codes, and client expectations.

    This is a hands-on leadership position requiring deep HVAC and controls expertise, strong field supervision skills, and the ability to coordinate startup activities across multiple trades and project teams. The role involves 100% nationwide travel with per diem provided.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead startup and commissioning of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including air handling units, heat pumps, refrigeration systems, and controls

    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex HVAC and controls system issues during startup and service phases

    • Coordinate startup schedules with Project Managers, Engineers, and other trades

    • Verify proper installation, wiring, piping, and pressure testing of HVAC and refrigeration systems

    • Complete and submit startup reports, commissioning documentation, and service records accurately and on time

    • Supervise, train, and mentor technicians and apprentices during startup and service activities

    • Serve as the primary field escalation point for technical issues and startup-related challenges

    • Monitor job progress, communicate status updates, and identify risks impacting schedule or quality

    • Enforce safety policies, maintain organized job sites, and promote hazard-free work environments

    • Support customer satisfaction through professional communication and technical expertise


    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of commercial HVAC field experience with startup, commissioning, or controls exposure

    • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, and building automation or controls

    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, control diagrams, and specifications

    • Proven leadership experience supervising field personnel

    • Strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across field, engineering, and management teams

    • High level of organization and ability to perform under tight schedules


    Physical & Travel Requirements

    • 100% nationwide travel required; per diem provided

    • Regular field work including standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds

    • Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and scaffolding

    • Valid driver’s license required
