Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Cooling Dynamics. The successful candidate will perform residential and light commercial equipment inspections, repairs, part replacements, routine preventative maintenance, and respond to emergency requests.
Qualifications:
– HVAC Service Experience: 2 Years (Required)
– EPA Certification (Preferred, but will consider without it)
– Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record
– Must have own Basic Hand Tools and Tools of the Trade (e.g., gauges, shop vac, refrigerant scale)
– Professional Appearance and Great Communication Skills
– Fluent in English
– Must live within a 30-minute drive to the office in North Port
– Ability to work independently and efficiently to ensure tasks are completed correctly the first time
– High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities:
– Inspect and repair major brands of HVAC equipment in residential and light commercial settings
– Perform part replacements and routine preventative maintenance
– Respond to emergency service requests
– Participate in on-call rotation
– Maintain good working order and organization of company vehicle
– Ensure proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in vehicle
– Travel to multiple job sites and communicate with dispatch to maintain schedule and inform customers of any delays
– Utilize HouseCall Pro software (experience is a plus, but not required)
– Collect payments in the field and understand company pricing
– Participate in company-provided training on customer service, software, and service techniques
Physical Requirements:
– Ability to handle heavy lifting, climbing, working from ladders or rooftops, working in hot temperatures, and maneuvering in tight attic spaces
