    Job Title: Port Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic

    Starting Salary: $25/hr – $30/hr with GREAT BENEFITS!

    Location: Palm Beach, FL

    Employment Type: Permanent

    Job Description:
    We are seeking a skilled Port Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hydraulics and schematics, as well as experience working with heavy equipment, including large dozers, straddle carriers, cranes, and reach stackers. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining port and heavy equipment machinery to ensure optimal operation. We are looking for someone that wants to make a lifetime commitment to our company’s mission and values.

    Key Responsibilities:
    – Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in port and heavy equipment.
    – Read and interpret schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting and repair.
    – Perform routine maintenance and inspections on large dozers, straddle carriers, cranes, and reach stackers.
    – Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
    – Ensure all repairs and maintenance are conducted in compliance with safety regulations.
    – Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
    – Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
    – Six months of day shift and six months of night shift. +25% night pay differential.

    Qualifications:
    – Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Port Mechanic.
    – Strong knowledge of hydraulics and schematics.
    – Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
    – Experience working with heavy equipment such as large dozers, straddle carriers, cranes, and reach stackers.
    – Must own a set of tools.
    – Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    – Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    – Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    – Valid driver’s license.
    – Must be able to obtain a TWIC.

    Education and Experience:
    – High school diploma or equivalent.
    – Technical certification or vocational training in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred.
    – Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

    We are seeking a skilled Port Mechanic IV/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in hydraulics and schematics, blueprint reading, diesel engines, electrical systems, and heavy equipment maintenance. Experience with large dozers, straddle carriers, gantry cranes, and container cranes is essential. Additionally, we want to hire for a life-long career.     Key Responsibilities:
    – Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment including large dozers, straddle carriers, gantry cranes, and container cranes.
    – Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
    – Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
    – Diagnose and repair diesel engines and electrical systems in heavy equipment.
    – Work with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining components.
    – Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
    – Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
    – Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
    – Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics as needed.
    – Six month day shift and six month night shift rotation with night pay differential.

    Qualifications:
    – High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
    – Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in a port environment.
    – Proficiency in reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical schematics and blueprints.
    – Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
    – Experience with large dozers, straddle carriers, gantry cranes, and container cranes.
    – Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
    – Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    – Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    – Ability to work in various weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.
    – Must have own tools.
    – Must maintain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
    – Valid Driver’s License.
    – Background check.
    – Drug test.

    Certifications:
    – Relevant certifications in heavy equipment maintenance and repair are preferred.
