Job Description:
We are seeking four Fiber Underground Technicians in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of drop and bury fiber optic cable installation and proficient with hand tools and digging equipment.

Responsibilities include:
– Installing, maintaining, and repairing underground fiber optic cables.
– Performing drop and bury installations.
– Operating and maintaining hand tools and digging equipment.
– Troubleshooting and resolving fiber optic issues.
– Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
– Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently.
Requirements:
– Basic understanding of drop and bury fiber optic cable installations.
– Basic proficiency with hand tools and digging equipment.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
– Background check.
– Drug test.
– Ability to lift 50 pounds.
– US Citizen/Green Card

Pay Ranges:
– Salary $18-$25/hr
– Spiffs, bonuses wage increases with knowledge of job
– Veteran Employment Benefits available, up to $550-$700 per week

Education and Experience:
– High school diploma or equivalent;
– Technical certification in telecommunications or a related field is preferred.
– Previous experience as a FIber Underground Technician or in a similar role is a plus.
