HVAC Operations Manager
Job Summary
This position is responsible for management activities, including establishing department development plans for installation, service, and maintenance. It is also responsible for following and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure the company fulfills its contractual obligations for service repair, installations, and maintenance in accordance with gross margin objectives and directives.
The operations manager coordinates all activities between the office and the field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
● Company standard bearer – embody the vision, mission, and values of our brand
● Oversee day-to-day company operations, with an obsession with improving the front line from call taking, and dispatching, to the field.
● Participate in interviewing, training, and evaluating team members to drive a shared department vision
● Provide leadership and mentorship to field and office employees promoting growth and professional development
● Listen to calls, oversee dispatching, and perform ride-along to identify areas of improvement for the department
● Assist technicians with issues while in the field, handle customer escalations as needed to support the team
● Ensure all operations are completed to the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction
● Manage operations to best utilize manpower and maximize profits
● Facilitate weekly meetings
● Manage and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction and provide solutions for performance
enhancement and proactive resolution of issues to ensure customer expectations are met.
● Ensure all department operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, federal, and company
requirements
● Ensure all team members comply with OSHA safety standards.

● Manage inventory, equipment, and service fleet
● Review, and approve new products and services
● Develop and drive quarterly and annual goals
● Communicate and monitor goals
● Provide feedback to managers regarding market trends, revenue opportunities, customer issues, and
all issues relevant to the business
● Collaborate with owners to manage budgets and forecasts
● Monitor financial performance, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and make strategic
decisions based on financial data to improve profitability
● Identify opportunities for revenue growth, diversification, and expansion while minimizing financial risks
● Develop and implement growth measures to increase the sales volume of the division, including promotion
and sales of HVAC service capabilities to customer facilities, preventative maintenance, and progressive
time agreements.
● Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with regional distributors
● Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions to capitalize on
growth opportunities
● Maximize lead opportunities, and retain and grow Club Membership clients.
● Carry out additional duties assigned by the Owner or Executive Management
● One-third of your time should be spent Recruiting the right Team Members, One-third of your time
should be spent Training those team members, and then the last One-third should be spent
Supervising, Administrating, and Motivating your team. Manage your time in these proportions and you will be a successful Manager.
Minimum Qualifications

● Valid Driver’s License
● Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
● Highest level of integrity and character
● Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
● Excellent leadership, organizational, and management skills with attention to detail
● Excellent sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
● Team Builder, who enjoys leading and developing their people

● Knowledge of current code requirements
Experience
● Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Mechanical Services, HVAC, and /or facilities management.
● Minimum of 2 years of documentable sales experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands:
● Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds. Regularly required to sit, walk, stand,
stoop, bend, squat, open doors, and climb/ descend stairs
● Operate standard office equipment (computers, phones, copier, fax machine or scanner)
● Moderate lifting may be required (15-20) pounds
● Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day
Working Environment:
● Climate-controlled Office/ Field setting.
