    Warehouse Manager Job Description

    Pay: $18.00 per hour
    Employment Status: Full-time, hourly
    Reports To: Company Leadership
    Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; Saturday, 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
    Location: Tonganoxie warehouse and jobsites as needed

    Position Summary:
    Client is hiring a full-time Warehouse Manager to handle the day-to-day operation of the electrical warehouse. This is a hands-on position responsible for inventory, material staging, receiving, tools, equipment, vehicle stock, deliveries, and warehouse records. The Warehouse Manager works closely with field crews and company leadership to make sure jobs have the correct material when it is needed.

    Job Duties

    • Keep accurate inventory records for electrical materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
    • Perform weekly cycle counts and monthly inventory counts.
    • Research and document inventory differences and negative inventory corrections.
    • Monitor commonly used material, including wire, devices, breakers, fittings, MC cable, EMT, conduit, and related components.
    • Track material by job when needed for job costing.
    • Cut, label, issue, and record wire accurately. Track returned wire and scrap.
    • Pull, verify, and stage material for scheduled jobs and service calls.
    • Let management and field crews know about shortages, backorders, or substitutions as soon as possible.
    • Receive deliveries and check packing slips against purchase orders.
    • Report missing, damaged, duplicated, or incorrect material and help resolve vendor issues.
    • Keep receiving records, packing slips, receipts, returns, and credits organized.
    • Manage the tool and equipment checkout and return process.
    • Track damaged, missing, or unsafe tools and equipment.
    • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely after required training.
    • Load and unload company vehicles, delivery trucks, material, and equipment.
    • Help maintain vehicle stock and warehouse consumables.
    • Keep the warehouse, yard, staging areas, and material storage areas clean and organized.
    • Manage scrap wire collection and recycling as directed.
    • Complete local supplier pickups and jobsite deliveries when needed.
    • Provide regular inventory and warehouse updates to company leadership.
    • Work with field employees, project managers, vendors, and company leadership to keep jobs supplied.
    • Protect company tools, material, equipment, vehicles, keys, and other company property.
    • Complete other warehouse and material-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of electrical materials, components, tools, and terminology.
    • Warehouse, inventory, material handling, logistics, or electrical industry experience preferred.
    • Forklift or warehouse equipment experience preferred. Must be willing to complete required training or certification.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Able to lift and move 50 pounds or more safely.
    • Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and handle material throughout the workday.
    • Organized, dependable, reliable, and able to follow through on assigned work.
    • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
    • Able to work independently and adjust priorities when job needs change.
    • Comfortable using basic computer or mobile tools for inventory, communication, timekeeping, and records.

    Performance Expectations

    • Maintain inventory accuracy of 98% or better.
    • Have job material staged on time and report shortages before they affect the schedule whenever possible.
    • Keep tool, equipment, wire, and material records current.
    • Reduce lost tools, material waste, overages, and emergency material runs.
    • Keep the warehouse and yard clean, safe, and organized.
    • Be reliable, communicate clearly, and follow through on assigned work.

    Pay, Schedule, and Time Off

    • $18.00 per hour, paid according to the company’s normal payroll schedule.
    • Full-time hourly position.
    • Overtime will be paid as required by law and must be approved in advance, in writing, by the CEO.
    • Full-time hourly employees receive 40 hours of paid vacation per calendar year after six months of continuous employment, subject to the Company Handbook.
    • The regular schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

    Company Handbook Requirements

    • Report to work on time and ready to work. Follow the call-in and absence procedures in the Company Handbook.
    • Record all work time and unpaid meal periods accurately in Workforce. Keep required location services enabled while clocked in.
    • Take one unpaid 30- to 60-minute meal break as approved by the Team Lead and clock out and back in for the break.

  • Excavator Operator

    Excavator Operator Job Description

    Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
    Employment Status: Full-time, hourly
    Reports To: Project Supervisor and Company Leadership
    Location: Jobsites and reporting locations as assigned

    Position Summary:
    Our client is hiring a full-time Excavator Operator to perform electrical trenching and related underground work. This is a hands-on position responsible for safely operating equipment, digging trenches, laying and connecting conduit, protecting the installation, backfilling, compacting, and restoring the work area. The Excavator Operator works closely with electricians, supervisors, and other crew members to complete underground electrical work safely and correctly.

    Job Duties:

    • Safely operate excavators, mini excavators, skid steers, trenchers, compactors, loaders, and other assigned machinery and equipment.
    • Dig and prepare trenches for underground electrical conduit according to approved plans, utility markings, jobsite layout, project requirements, and supervisor direction.
    • Maintain the required trench route, depth, width, grade, clearances, and working area for the electrical installation.
    • Recognize common underground electrical materials and components used in trench work.
    • Lay, align, and support conduit in the trench as directed.
    • Measure, cut, ream, clean, prime, and glue PVC conduit. Assemble sweeps, fittings, couplings, adapters, spacers, and other connections using the approved method.
    • Keep conduit runs clean, properly aligned, and protected from dirt, water, crushing, movement, and damage.
    • Cap or protect open conduit ends and help install pull string, warning tape, or other required items when directed.
    • Coordinate with electricians and supervisors before changing the trench route, covering conduit, or beginning backfill.
    • After required checks, approvals, or inspections are complete, backfill carefully, compact the soil, and restore the grade and surrounding work area.
    • Follow active utility markings and approved excavation procedures. Stop work and notify the supervisor if an unmarked utility, obstruction, unsafe condition, or damaged line is found.
    • Use a spotter when required and work carefully around buildings, vehicles, equipment, utilities, employees, and the public.
    • Complete pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections and report leaks, damage, defects, or repair needs right away.
    • Perform routine equipment cleaning, fueling, and basic operator maintenance as assigned.
    • Load, unload, move, and stage equipment, conduit, fittings, materials, and tools when authorized and trained to do so.
    • Keep the work area, equipment, tools, and materials clean, organized, and secure.
    • Complete required daily reports, equipment logs, time records, and job documentation accurately.
    • Communicate clearly with the crew and assist with general labor or material handling when equipment is not being operated.
    • Protect company property and complete other excavation, underground electrical, and sitework duties as assigned.

    Trenching and Equipment Safety:

    • Attend required job briefings and follow the site-specific safety plan, excavation plan, and supervisor instructions.
    • Confirm that required utility locating and marking has been completed before excavation begins.
    • Follow all trench and excavation safety rules and the direction of the designated competent person. Never enter or allow others to enter an unsafe trench or excavation.
    • Use required personal protective equipment, seat belts, alarms, barricades, spotters, and other safety controls.
    • Keep spoil piles, equipment, materials, and employees a safe distance from trench edges and watch for unstable soil, water, overhead hazards, and underground utilities.
    • Stop work and report unsafe conditions, injuries, accidents, utility damage, near misses, or equipment problems immediately.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to safely operate excavators and other assigned machinery and equipment.
    • Working knowledge of basic electrical trenching requirements, including trench depth, width, routing, clearances, conduit protection, backfill, and utility-marking procedures.
    • Basic knowledge of underground electrical conduit, fittings, sweeps, spacers, warning tape, and related components.
    • Previous excavator, trenching, underground utility, or electrical construction experience is preferred but not required. An electrical license is not required.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Able to safely lift, carry, and move 50 pounds or more.
    • Able to climb into and out of equipment, operate controls for extended periods, and stand, walk, bend, reach, shovel, and work on uneven terrain.
    • Able to work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, mud, and changing jobsite conditions.
    • Organized, dependable, reliable, and able to follow through on assigned work.
    • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
    • Able to follow plans, markings, measurements, safety rules, and supervisor instructions and complete required company training or equipment qualifications.

    Performance Expectations

    • Complete excavation and conduit work safely, accurately, and on schedule.
    • Protect existing utilities, installed conduit, equipment, and surrounding property from damage.
    • Check trench layout, measurements, depth, grade, and conduit placement as work progresses to limit rework.
    • Keep assigned equipment inspected, clean, and ready for use.
    • Report delays, damage, equipment problems, and jobsite concerns promptly, and work cooperatively with the crew.

    Pay and Time Off

    • Up to $30.00 per hour, paid according to the company’s normal payroll schedule.
    • Full-time hourly position.

    Location: Office, warehouse, customer locations, and active jobsites as assigned

    Position Summary:
    The Superintendent is a senior leadership position responsible for directing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the client. This position connects company goals to field execution and is accountable for project delivery, workforce planning, safety, quality, customer service, operational systems, cost control, and company-wide follow-through. The Superintendent works closely with the CEO, ownership group, project managers, Team Leads, field employees, warehouse, service, and administrative staff to keep the company organized, productive, profitable, and prepared for growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Translate the CEO’s and ownership group’s goals into clear operating priorities, schedules, responsibilities, and measurable expectations.
    • Direct and coordinate day-to-day company operations across field construction, project management, service work, warehouse and material support, fleet, and equipment.
    • Maintain a company-wide view of active projects, upcoming work, staffing needs, customer commitments, deadlines, and operational risks.
    • Build and manage the master production schedule, manpower plan, and resource plan so crews, materials, equipment, and supervision are available when needed.
    • Set daily and weekly priorities for project managers, Team Leads, foremen, field employees, and operational support staff.
    • Lead regular operations and project meetings and provide timely updates to the CEO and ownership group regarding production, staffing, safety, quality, costs, customer issues, and major risks.
    • Establish clear roles, decision authority, deadlines, and accountability for managers and employees, and follow up until assigned work is complete.
    • Review project scopes, contracts, estimates, plans, specifications, budgets, schedules, permits, and customer requirements before and during construction.
    • Monitor project progress, labor productivity, material usage, equipment and rental costs, subcontractor performance, job costing, and overall project profitability.
    • Identify schedule, budget, quality, staffing, or material problems early and implement corrective action before they become larger issues.
    • Work with project management and administrative staff to keep change orders, supporting documentation, billing information, pay applications, closeout items, and customer approvals current.
    • Make sure field teams receive accurate information, approved plans, materials, tools, equipment, and access needed to complete work efficiently.
    • Oversee quality-control procedures and confirm work meets project requirements, applicable electrical codes, inspection requirements, and company standards.
    • Provide overall leadership for the company’s safety program, jobsite safety expectations, incident response, corrective action, and required documentation.
    • Visit jobsites regularly to verify production, workmanship, safety, staffing, organization, and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, general contractors, inspectors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other business partners.
