    $45-$55/hr (based on experience)

    per diem is $150 per day worked

    Normal schedule 4/10 Monday – Thursday

    Weekends upon customer request

    Job Summary: Barnett Southern Corporation is seeking an experienced Foundation Foreman to lead deep foundation projects in Watkinsville, GA, and across the state. The Foundation Foreman will oversee crews, ensure safety compliance, and operate heavy equipment to deliver high-quality drilled piers, caissons, and slurry holes. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to our safety culture.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and lead crews on deep foundation projects, including drilled piers, caissons, and slurry holes.
    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, conducting daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and managing work near energized lines.
    • Operate heavy equipment, such as drill rigs and cranes, to execute projects in diverse environments (e.g., rock, sand, clay, marshland, urban areas).
    • Coordinate project schedules, materials, and manpower to meet deadlines and budgets.
    • Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide project execution.
    • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment and quality.
    • Maintain equipment and conduct routine inspections to ensure operational safety.

    Minimum 7 yrs experience in industry including:

    • Installing deep foundations
      • Drilled peers
      • Socket Caissons
      • Conventional caissons
      • Advancing Caissons under overhead obstructions (i.e. overhead lines)
      • Slurry holes
    • Drilling rock holes
    • Setting Poles up to 45K
    • Hang girders/arms for substation dead ends
    • Operating various drill rigs
    • Operating cranes

    Job Summary: We are seeking a Controller, in Watkinsville, GA, that will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company and across the state. 

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
    • Oversees training programs and identifies training needs.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
    • Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
    • Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
    • Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
    • Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
    • Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
    • Files quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
    • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
    • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    Education and Experience:

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    Overview

    We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Lineman with transmission line experience to join our team. This role focuses on the installation, construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electric transmission lines, primarily on de-energized lines using specialized equipment such as cranes, man lifts, bucket trucks, and other tools. The Journeyman Lineman may also guide lower-level classifications and will be assigned to specific projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Safely perform new construction, maintenance, or repair work on de-energized overhead transmission lines

    • Lead crew members in the absence of the Foreman

    • String overhead wire

    • Adhere strictly to company safety rules and policies

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of recent field experience in transmission line work

    • Proficiency in reading and effectively communicating in English

    • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required

    • Willingness to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at various locations

    • Ability to lift over 50 lbs

    • Competence in inspecting rubber goods and personal protective equipment (PPE)

    • Openness to working overtime when requested

    • Self-motivated with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of line work
